Summer’s closing means Fall is just around the corner. I can safely say I am not sad to see Summer go. With daily humidity levels through the roof, Manhattan has transformed itself into one big desert island.
With cooler days ahead, we all can finally cease dressing for survival and start layering our favorite pieces tucked away in our closets. I’ve recently undergone an overhaul of my closet as well as personal style choices in anticipation of Fall. My wardrobe for the upcoming season consists entirely of classic staples, with small notes of trend pieces here and there. As I have been investing more heavily in quality pieces I’ll own for years to come, I’ve decided to stop investing so much in trend-focused items that I’ll be embarrassed to wear a year from now. For example, (to all of you that own them), once Rihanna stops strutting down the street (as she typically does with a wine glass in-hand) in her Puma fur slides you all are totally going to shuffle those babies right under your bed – don't even lie.
For this look I decided to keep it very simple, building it off of a vintage suede coat I picked up in a little shop in Dallas, TX. The rest of the look consists of all black pieces to contrast with the jacket.
