I apologize for not being as active the past couple of weeks! To give you all a few life updates: I made a last minute decision over last weekend to move from the Upper West Side in New York, down to the Financial District. This decision was made partly due to the fact that this week I also officially joined the marketing team at Moncler in their Soho offices!
To celebrate all the positive changes going on I OBVIOUSLY decided to go on an SSENSE shopping spree. Over the next few posts I’ll be styling pieces that I picked up. The first item, featured within this post, is the Black Burnt Effect Shirt by Comme Des Garcons Homme. I have recently been obsessing over Japanese designers and the materials they use to create their clothing. This piece stuck out to me because the burnt look of it was so different from something I had ever seen before. I don’t normally like to spend large amounts of money on single pieces of clothing – however, when a piece if unique, well made, and something you can’t replicate with a cheaper version, then I am all for splurging.
I wanted to keep this look simple and very dark. I decided to layer this piece with a white shirt under, as it is a little cropped. I then added a pair of black denim as well as my dark brown McQueen boots to give it a tiny bit a color.
